In addition to the 3D hover effect, the editor now also offers a parallax effect. By setting fixed background positions, you can create stunning parallax scrolling effects where the background moves slower than the foreground. With these innovative tools, Shopify's OnlineStore Editor brings a whole new dimension to store design.

These functions will be available from this summer. The following two functions "Flex Section" and "Sidekick" are still under development and will follow soon.

Flex Section

An innovative extension for Shopify is coming soon: the Flex Section. With this new feature, users have the freedom to customize and adapt their website sections with different blocks. It's not just about simply resizing blocks; users can also duplicate them to easily replicate recurring design elements or content. Furthermore, this tool offers the ability to position blocks anywhere on the page, allowing for a flexible and customized website design. The introduction of Flex sections marks a further step by Shopify to offer users even greater creative control over their online stores.

Sidekick

Sidekick, the latest AI assistant, is being developed specifically for the e-commerce sector to help merchants navigate and operate Shopify. If you've ever wondered how to set up discounts or use other specific features, Sidekick is just the tool for you. Not only can the wizard provide useful answers, but it can also provide handy resources such as test credit card numbers, which are particularly useful if you want to test the checkout process during development.
